Expansion in the commercial and business jet sectors bolstered the company's performance along with strong earnings in sports air charter travel, historically a mainstay market for Air Planning.
"We are very pleased with our expansion efforts, including building our market presence in commercial air charter and the business jet market. A particular bright spot has been our growth in business from our growing online presence in the air charter space." said Aaron Yust, Director of Business Development. "We have added a number of new team members to augment our business development efforts, as well as a new location in Tulsa, Oklahoma. We will continue to add to our staff and are in a great position in 2022 to capitalize on travel's return to previous levels. With tightening scheduled service availability, air charter is uniquely positioned to get our clients where they need to be." said Yust.
Company performance was in line with ownership's expectations. "We have taken a lot of steps over the past 4 years to manage changes in the market, diversify, and grow our company. The results clearly show those efforts are paying off." said Scott Bickford, CEO and founder of Air Planning. The company has its sights set on additional locations in the U.S., in markets that are better served with a local presence. "We have identified a number of markets that would be a nice addition, but ultimately we are driven by the quality of the talent in those markets. We also see growth opportunities in other sectors such as freight and air cargo charter." said Bickford.
